Collada support

Is there any support for models in the Collada (DAE) format?

Re: Collada support

Most of the questions you have about models should be answered by the Cube wiki:

http://sauerbraten.org/docs/models.html

Tesseract does have some differences I think,  but I'm not familar with them.

Are those differences documented somewhere? I could not find anything in SVN.

Re: Collada support

There is no in-depth documentation as far as I know. The source code is available though :)

MD2, MD3, MD5, IQM, SMD and OBJ are supported.

You can write an OBJ file from a map using /writeobj name, for use in other modelling software.

COLLADA is designed to be a standard and interoperable format, you can maybe convert it to another format.
