single-player elements

are there any built-in entities for single-player maps? like enemies, doors or stuff like there is in cube 2?

I'm also interested on this, but I think the answer is no.
And it doesn't look like there's many people even checking the forums.

Yeah. IRC seems dead too.

There are none that I'm aware of. You can do hacks like in Anticube 2 that work reasonably well, but you would probably be better off modding the game to add the things you need.

With the anticubic approach you can change mapmodel slots (useful for doors, no animation of doors opening though), change texture slots and do triggers - detect when the player (or rather the camera) enters or leaves a certain area, which is actually more powerful than sauer's triggers. If you would like to know more about this, let me know, I still check this forum sometimes.
