News from the engine. New website

Hi to all. I am using Tesseract since a long time and was wondering what was the latest news of the engine. Also, I would like to know how much of you would like to see a good centralized website with maps, models, latest tutorials etc. It would be cool doesn't it ?

So let's hear from you guys.

Re: News from the engine. New website

Hey there,
The main developer of Tesseract (Eihrul) has turned his attention toward other things for the moment (perhaps a new Cube 2: Sauerbraten release?). Tesseract currently lives on through the various forks the community has created and continues to develop.
Here are some of the main active Tesseract forks (and their developers):

Rival 3D Engine (Chasester and me)
   Nova Fide (Tempris)
   Adrenaline Cube 2 (me)

(others - feel free to add to this list :)

Hi Hypernova & Chasester,

I heard about the Rival Engine here, in the forum. However the download link is dead.
I never heard of Nova Fide or Adrenaline Cube, I will check that out.

If you have any information to give us, feel free to do it

G.

Hey Greenache,
Here's the github page for the Rival project:
  https://github.com/chasester/Rival3dengine

And here's the page for Adrenaline Cube 2:
  https://github.com/api-Hypernova/AC2-cube2 (Cube 2 prototype)
  https://github.com/api-Hypernova/ac2-game-src (Rival port, currently nonfunctional)

The Nova Fide code is hasn't been released yet.
Both Rival and AC2 are under heavy development and not fully functioning (Rival runs fine on Windows).

I'm here and I will say.
The Tesseract is a very good engine, but it is difficult to learn, especially not for programmers. Of course, you still need to add physics - Bullet. If developers created Blender's plug-in to run the game in an external engine, it would be very cool.
You can go along the path of your constructor, but this is also difficult, what else can and better. And if you develop a full and easy Game KIT, then you can distribute it for free, but if somebody create a commercial project, take deductions of 5% of the profit - I personally would even be happy with this, but with the ease and fullness of the tool.
Of course, everyone needs a base of textures, models ... complete game KIT.

Thank you for attention.
